Psychological Type and Personal Happiness

The Type of Happiness We Choose from Birth

I believe that our Personal Type supposes not only well-known Jungian psychological differences (attitudes of Extraversion-Introversion, functions of Sensing-Intuiting and functions of Thinking-Feeling). I believe that our inborn preferences predetermine different kinds of personal happiness.

My research has shown that the happiest people above all tend to follow their innate Mind (i.e. Thinking-Feeling preference) — regardless of whether they realize this or not. And vice versa: the most miserable situations in life occur when we betray our innate mind.

Psychological Type and Energy Health

Energy Health: let yourself be yourself

Everybody wants to be healthy and happy. I believe we are able to make this sacramental wish come true during the life. Let’s start from the first part of the wish – I suggest looking at our health from the point of our inborn personal features.

The one of these features is psychological Jungian preference – an attitude of Extraversion or Introversion that denotes the main source of personal psychic energy. The second peculiarity is quite biological: it is predominance of the right- or left-brain hemisphere, which everyone has from birth. This predominance usually predetermines a preferred personal life-style, which may tend to be more rational (with inclination to judgment and planning) or more flexible (tending to perceiving the life process).

ESTP – Hedonistic Escapist

The main Paradox of the ESTP Type (Extraversion, Sensing, Thinking, Perception) is that too many people belonging to this Type are mistakenly identified as other Types ’ probably because ESTP-Type appears to be demonstratively clear to many MBTI fans.

But ESTP is definitely not clear: born ‘Adventurer’ and ‘Realist’ at the same time, ESTP has one of the most contradictory and unpredictable personalities in the ‘16-Types-Zodiac’.

On the one hand, ESTP wants to get all the things that are so desirable for any Realist: model success in his career and in the materialistic world, sense of security, and comfortable life in prestigious (or, even better, elite) environment. Moreover, this Type has an advanced level of social pride and thirst for high-style living, shown to everyone.

INFJ – Dreamer

“I have a dream”

This person is a Dreamer. But do not think that he (or she) is totally not of this world! Quite the contrary: INFJ comes to the world to be with people and for the sake of people – in the way he (she) imagines would be right and especially necessary at their time and place.

INFJ-Dreamers are very much grounded in what they believe in. This belief consists of the ‘inner vision’ (which is feeding on Introverted Intuition) and objective ethical values (from Extraverted Feeling). What does that mean in real life?

INFP – Pragmatical Sweetheart

“There is no rose without a thorn”

INFP is quite an interesting person. What we can see here is an obvious Caretaker with temperament of a Philosopher. The Philosophy of INFP-types is a system of subjective ethical values (Introverted Feeling), along with the desire for a harmonious, fresh and intelligent atmosphere around (Extraverted Intuition).

However, this philosophy is not about the course of life of the entire human society. There is a clear difference between INFP and INFJ types: while INFJ-type, a natural “psychoanalyst of the world”, dreams about psychological well-being of the humankind, INFP-type is concerned about the harmony of his/her private environment.
